I am sure by now that you have heard the stories about people making extra money at home using twitter. You have probably been wondering are any of those stories true. I can’t speak for everyone, however I can tell you from my personal experience that it is possible to make money using twitter.
If you know me then you know that I have never been a big fan of twitter. Looking back at it I guess you can say that I had to eat a little humble pie. About six months ago my students began asking me a lot of questions about making money on twitter. For me the people had spoken, and it was time for me to listen. It wasn’t like I just jumped on twitter and the money started rolling in. It took me many trial and errors and thousands of dollars before I finally figured it out twitters dirty little secrets. I had finally realized that twitter was nothing more than another source of traffic. Once I took a step back and looked at the big picture I realized twitter was just like any other source of social networking traffic.
Twitter was like the goose that laid the golden egg…so I thought! My site was receiving a ton of traffic a day it was incredible. Then reality set in, although I was getting traffic it wasn’t converting that well. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure the problem out, but nothing seemed to be working. One day while running on the treadmill it hit me like a ton of bricks. The answer was so simple I could have punched myself in the face for not realizing it sooner. I should have been sending the traffic directly to a squeeze page with a really cool irresistible offer on it. This strategy not only grew my list, but it started generating sales like a broken ATM machine.
It took several stupid mistakes and a few twitter accounts getting banned, before I realized that twitter was just another traffic generating tool. Once I wrapped my brain around that idea I approached twitter with a fresh outlook. I now realized that twitter was just a tool that should be used in conjunction with all the other traffic generating tools that I had already been using. I launched several other niches using my new system and I am proud to say that it worked like clockwork each and every time. As you read this I am currently training a team of people to setup this process in several niche markets. Just imagine having a team of people setting up a cash machine for you around the clock. Now that’s what I call super cool.
I’ll tell you what’s even cooler… I am going to share my mind numbing system with a few selected people (at zero cost to you of course). Before you set out to build your twitter empire, allow me to give you a little advice that will save you time and money. Whatever you do, do not waste your time promoting cheap products. It will take you the same amount of time to promote a $10.00 product as it will a $100 product. Most importantly DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME SENDING TRAFFIC TO A SALES PAGE.
During my first round of testing I sent my twitter traffic directly to a sales page. I received a boat load of traffic however the conversion ratio sucked. One particular test that comes to mind is a niche site that had received approximately 40,000 visitors, and only one sale for a product that cost close to a thousand dollars. It took approximately seven months for me to generate that sale. That breaks down to almost $140 a month. After thinking about it I had come to the conclusion that my time and money would be better spent paying someone to build more adsense sites, since the majority of my adsense sites produce $500 a month on average, and it would cost me less labor.
